Artist statement

From biographical annotations towards the cultural and social sphere, my work invites to a reflection on the systems of values the viewer adopts in specific circumstances and challenges their frame of reference.
Influenced by mythological stories, folklore, art history and the tradition of painting I create visual narratives that are informed by the contemporary world, and relate to measurement, touch, desire...

The context and manner of creation contribute in themselves to the meaning of the pieces.
I gradually found my expression in drawing, photography, painting and installation; initially I was interested in cinema's narratives, early video games graphics and parkour's relation of the body with the city but my view of the possibilities of art expanded. After a severe accident I set out to achieve the realism of silence - a mysterious perspective of people's inner life and of the wonder in the world.

With a confessional tone I portray a world in an organic disorder, where stories have redemptive power and are source of consolation.
