Estas foram as minhas últimas obras feitas na universidade, uma série de pinturas intitulada Estilização. Neste corpo de trabalho, várias figuras são representadas contra um fundo colorido e vazio, criando um contraste marcante que amplifica o isolamento dos sujeitos. As figuras, cada uma em um estado de imobilidade, incorporam um profundo sentido de solidão, simbolizando como os indivíduos podem se distanciar dos seus arredores. O fundo vazio serve não apenas como um vazio visual, mas também como uma metáfora para o isolamento vivido tanto fisicamente quanto emocionalmente. Ao mesmo tempo, as pinturas refletem sobre como o percurso artístico académico frequentemente leva à estilização de experiências e emoções — onde a verdade crua e pessoal é destilada numa linguagem mais formal e académica. Através deste processo, as figuras não são apenas seres solitários, mas também representações de como a arte, a educação e a sociedade muitas vezes simplificam e compartimentam experiências humanas complexas. A tensão entre a solidão das figuras e a estilização cuidadosamente construída convida os observadores a refletir sobre a desconexão entre a expressão pessoal e o quadro institucional que a molda.

These were my last works done in the university, a series of paintings entitled Stylization. In this body of work, various figures are depicted against a colored, empty background, creating a stark contrast that amplifies the isolation of the subjects. The figures, each in a state of stillness, embody a profound sense of loneliness, symbolizing how individuals can become detached from their surroundings. The empty background serves not only as a visual void but also as a metaphor for the isolation experienced both physically and emotionally. At the same time, the paintings reflect on how the academic artistic journey itself often leads to the stylization of experiences and emotions—where raw, personal truth is distilled into a more formal, academic language. Through this process, the figures are not just solitary beings but also representations of how art, education, and society often simplify and compartmentalize complex human experiences. The tension between the solitude of the figures and the carefully constructed stylization invites viewers to reflect on the disconnection between personal expression and the institutional framework that shapes it.
