Selling stores location:
This postal art project captures the intricate dance between urban spaces, consumer culture, and the global tourist economy. Through a series of postcards, the work juxtaposes the vibrant allure of cityscapes with the omnipresent influence of merchandise and tourism.
Through this project, "Porta Portugal" offers a thought-provoking commentary on the impact of merchandising and tourism on the identity of urban environments, and how the cities we visit are increasingly becoming backdrops for global consumer culture.

This proposal aims to map the territory in an illustrative, light, and accessible way, promoting a stronger sense of identification between citizens and their city. It also seeks to offer visitors a comprehensive and inviting view of Lagos, which may contribute to greater respect for the local material, architectural, and urban heritage, while conveying the image of a modern, dynamic, and welcoming city.
The mural would have a cartoon-style visual approach, inspired by the illustrations I have been developing about Lagos, which have been very well received, especially among children and young people. This type of representation allows them to form a more stimulating mental image of the city, encouraging exploration, while also transforming spaces that may sometimes feel unwelcoming into places of belonging, connection, and community life.
